Metallica played Peru for only the second time and the fans helped them deliver a unique setlist. No «Sad But True.» No «Nothing Else Matters.» It was a solid set of songs from the first five records plus, of course, the new song «Lords of Summer.» «Hit the Lights» was the «Vote of the Day» song, beating out «All Nightmare Long» and «The Day that Never Comes.»

The setlist included Battery, Master of Puppets, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Disposable Heroes, The Unforgiven, Lords of Summer, …And Justice for All, The Four Horsemen, Whiplash, Orion, One, Ride the Lightning, Fight Fire With Fire, Fade to Black, Enter Sandman, Creeping Death, Hit the Lights, and Seek & Destroy
